LGC’s Supplements team has hosted a reception in Tokyo for the growing number of INFORMED certified supplements customers.
The event was coordinated by Eri Tani and Natsuki Tanabe from the Supplements office in Japan, and Terence O’Rorke, Business Development Manager for EMEA APAC.
They were joined by LGC ASSURE’s new Director of Business Development Paul Klinger, who flew in the from the US to join the 50 supplements customers who attended the event at the Hilton Odaiba.
“Japan has been a very important market for LGC’s supplements business for the last 5-6 years, and this was a very valuable opportunity to meet face to face with our increasing customer base in Japan,” said O’Rorke.
“The reception coincided with the opening day of a large trade event so many of our Japan customers were in Tokyo, and our reception had great value in terms of networking, account management, and developing further insight into trends in this market.
“We were able to re-emphasize to our customers how important they are to LGC and show how the INFORMED programmes continue to grow and provide vital support for the Japan supplements industry.”
The LGC team also attended SPORTEC, Japan’s largest trade event for the wide number of businesses associated with sport and exercise, to further showcase INFORMED and our family of certification programmes. To further provide insight into the growing business of INFORMED, Terence and Paul met with the Japan Anti-Doping Agency (JADA) in their Tokyo offices to share information on Informed Sport and Informed Choice, and how each programme plays a key role in protecting athletes and help to eliminate inadvertent doping.
